By accessing or using Dormroom Technologies Private Limited, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. INTRODUCTION

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited ("Dormroom" "Platform", "we", "our", "us") provides a technology platform connecting tenants with property owners.

By using Dormroom Technologies Private Limited, you agree to these Terms.

 

2. PLATFORM ROLE

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited acts solely as a facilitator and does not own or manage properties.

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited does not guarantee listing accuracy, safety, or quality.

 

3. BOOKING FEE STRUCTURE

- The ₹1099 booking fee paid by the tenant is part of the total rent/deposit payable to the owner.

- Example:

Total Rent + Deposit = ₹10,000

Dormroom Fee (₹1099) is collected upfront.

Remaining amount payable to owner = ₹10,000 - ₹1299

- The ₹1099 is effectively the platform fee charged to the owner for a successful transaction, collected in advance from the tenant.

 

4. BOOKING & PAYMENTS

- The ₹1299 fee is refundable only if:

(a) Owner rejects the request, or

(b) Owner fails to respond within 12 hours.

- If tenant cancels before owner acceptance, no refund is provided.

 

5. OWNER CANCELLATION

- If owner cancels after accepting:

- Tenant receives full refund (₹1299).

- Owner is liable to compensate ₹1299.

- Dormroom Technologies Private Limited may recover this from future payouts or suspend account.

 

6. PAYMENT FAILURE

- If payment is deducted but booking is not created:

- Dormroom Technologies Private Limited will attempt to complete booking manually.

- If unsuccessful, refund will be issued.

 

7. USER CONDUCT

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited may suspend users for fraud, misuse, or fake bookings without refund.

 

8. GOVERNMENT CHARGES

- Applicable government taxes, including GST, may be charged as per prevailing laws.

- Users agree to bear such charges where applicable.

 

9. LIABILITY

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited is not responsible for property conditions, disputes, or damages.

Support provided is best-effort only.

 

10. DISPUTES & JURISDICTION

All disputes are subject to Pune, Maharashtra jurisdiction.

 

11. PLATFORM RIGHTS

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited may modify pricing, policies, or Terms at any time.

 

12. TERMINATION

Dormroom may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited provides a platform to connect property owners and tenants. While Dormroom Technologies Private Limited does not own or manage properties, we offer a structured process to address disputes.

 

1. RAISING A DISPUTE

Users may report an issue through the platform or by contacting support@dormroom.co.in.

Disputes may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Misrepresentation of property

  2. Payment-related issues

  3. Owner or tenant misconduct

 

2. REVIEW PROCESS

Upon receiving a dispute, Dormroom Technologies Private Limited may:

  1. Request supporting evidence (photos, communication records, etc.)

  2. Review platform activity and interactions

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited aims to respond within 24 hours and resolve disputes within 72 hours, where possible.

 

3. RESOLUTION AUTHORITY

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited reserves the right to:

  1. Issue warnings

  2. Suspend or remove listings

  3. Restrict or terminate user accounts

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited may, at its discretion, recommend or facilitate refunds or compensation, but does not guarantee financial recovery.

 

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited acts solely as a platform connecting users and is not responsible for:

  1. Property conditions

  2. Agreements made outside the platform

  3. Financial transactions conducted directly between users

 

5. FINAL DECISION

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited reserves the right to make the final decision in all disputes handled through the platform.

 

6. ESCALATION

If a dispute cannot be resolved through Dormroom Technologies Private Limited, users may pursue remedies through applicable legal channels.
