Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited (“Dormroom”, “we”, “our”, “us”) follows a transparent and strict refund policy aligned with our success-based model.

1. BOOKING FEE REFUND ELIGIBILITY

The booking fee (₹1299) is refundable only in the following cases:

  • If the property owner rejects the booking request, or

  • If the property owner fails to respond within 12 hours of the request

In such cases, the full amount will be refunded to the tenant.

2. NON-REFUNDABLE CASES

The booking fee becomes non-refundable once:

  • The property owner accepts the booking request, or

  • The tenant cancels after the owner has accepted, or

  • The tenant chooses not to proceed despite confirmed availability

 

3. OWNER CANCELLATION AFTER ACCEPTANCE

  • If the property owner cancels after accepting the booking:

    • The tenant will receive a full refund (₹1299)

    • The owner will be liable to compensate ₹1299

    • Dormroom may recover this amount from future payouts or take necessary action

 

4. PAYMENT FAILURE / DUPLICATE PAYMENTS

  • If payment is deducted but booking is not created:

    • Dormroom will attempt to complete the booking manually

    • If unsuccessful, a full refund will be issued

  • Any duplicate or excess payment will be refunded after verification

 

5. REFUND PROCESSING

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method

  • Standard processing time: 5–7 business days

  • Timelines may vary depending on payment providers

 

6. PLATFORM ROLE DISCLAIMER

Dormroom Technologies Private Limited acts solely as a platform connecting tenants and property owners.

Dormroom does not control property decisions and is not responsible for:

  • Property conditions

  • Final rental agreements

  • Off-platform transactions
